The person My mum, Jane. We’re very alike, which can be a good thing and a bad thing, depending on the situation The memory Childhood Christmases, when Santa and all of my grandparents were still around The moment of the day Sunset; it’s so peaceful. When I was really young, I used to see each part of the day as a different colour, and my favourite was when the day turned yellow The song I love Take My Hand by the Irish band Picture This. The lyrics are so sweet! The pet hate Fake people. If you don’t like me, that’s perfectly fine, just please don’t smile and shake my hand. I can’t stand behaviour like that The movie Big Fish is my all-time favourite. I’m a big Tim Burton fan, and this movie has an amazing cast. There’s something about the main character, Edward Bloom, that reminds me of my grandad, and I bawl crying every time I watch it The hero My dad. I give him a hard time sometimes, but there have been so many times he has saved me, like when I ran out of petrol in the middle of Merrion Square. If he was a superhero, he would be a combination of Mr Bean and Superman The gadget My shower radio. I love singing along in the morning, it just gets me set up for the day. The batteries died recently, and showering was so boring for a while The book I usually read a lot of crime thrillers, but the best book I read this summer was The Life-Changing Magic of not giving a F**k by Sarah Knight. It’s all about how much better life is when you stop trying to please people and stop worrying about what people think about you The drink A strong flat white from Kaph on Drury Street The outfit I’m loving the bomber-jacket trend. My go-to look at the moment is a cool bomber with skinny jeans and boots The celebrity Tom Hardy. Sometimes I think if I mention him, he’ll receive a Google notification and see the interview . . . hey, Tom The accessory I have a full head of Great Lengths hair extensions, and I would feel naked without them. They’re so thick and shiny, and when I get a curly blow-dry, I genuinely think I’m Beyonce The vice Chicken-fillet rolls; and sleeping with my make-up on The friend I can count my best friends on one hand, and I love them all. I guess my friend Jayne has really been here for me this year . . . until she bloody emigrated, like all my friends seem to do! The holiday I had a couple of trips to my parents’ house in France this summer, and I loved it. Mum took the dogs over with her on the ferry, so it was fun sunbathing and reading with my pups by my side The part of my body I like my mouth, even though it gets me in trouble sometimes. Make-up artists often compliment the shape of my lips, which is nice. I wear red Vaseline every day; you’ll always find little Vaseline tins in my car and handbag The piece of advice Keep it simple. I’m a worrier, and an over-thinker, and I can get overwhelmed sometimes, so these three words really help The virtue My favourite virtue in a person is honesty. It’s important to me to know where I stand with people, and to know who I can trust. My favourite kind of people are those who just say what they think The hotel Parknasilla Resort & Spa in Sneem. I have great childhood memories of Kerry, and more recently, I stayed there while training in Kathryn Thomas’s Pure Results bootcamp The hobby Painting. It’s one of those things that makes me really happy and calms me down, but I definitely don’t do it often enough The bar The Bloody Stream in Howth The beauty product Image Iluma Intense Lightening Serum is magic. It really brightens up my skin and gives me a healthy glow The smell Coffee in the morning, or La Vie Est Belle perfume by Lancome The taste Maltesers, from the fridge
