One of the most glamorous nights on the Irish entertainment calendar — the Irish Academy’s annual IFTA Gala Television Awards honours the best in Irish TV over the past year. 50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy, Brendan O’Connor’s Cutting Edge, The Imelda May Show and The Seven O’Clock Show compete in the entertainment category, while Fair City, Red Rock and Ros na Run battle for Best Irish Soap, and veteran broadcaster Pat Kenny is the recipient of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
