Chris de Burgh, Diane and family enjoy Rasam

Bumped into TV3’s Alan Hughes at Bloom last Saturday afternoon. In the rain in the Phoenix Park, the star of Ireland AM told me about the recent sad deaths of his big brother David, his aunt Evelyn as well as Jen, cousin of Alan’s husband Karl Broderick.

On a brighter family note, Chris de Burgh was in Rasam Restaurant in Glasthule for dinner with his wife Diane, daughter Rosanna, son-in-law Wesley Quirke, son Hubie and Hubie’s girlfriend, Aoise, on Tuesday night. The winner of Miss World 2003 had been in Rasam the weekend before with a bunch of glam girlfriends, among them KatieJane Goldin, daughter of the late Paul Goldin. Doubtless they found the food hypnotic.
