This is an unashamedly Brexit-focused podcast. And unashamedly anti-Brexit too. There’s no messing about with the idea of putting forward a ‘balanced view’ here. Ian Dunt, of politics.co.uk; Peter Collins, former business editor at The Economist; and Dorian Lynskey of The Guardian; along with the occasional expert guest, dissect the repercussions of a decision they believe to have been disastrous (the tag-line of the series is “ho hey, let’s stay”).

Now into episode five, we have had Theresa May referred to as “extraordinarily inept”, whose “manner of operating tends to throw up spectacular errors”, along with an analysis of voting profiles, the chances of a ‘soft’ Brexit and what that actually might mean, and a look at ‘Brexit, One Year On’. For those of us who want a focus for our on-going concern and annoyance, as well as learned discussions about what might happen next, this is vital listening.

Comedy Of The Week www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02pc9x6/episodes/downloads Way to make life simple — this weekly mash-up is hosted by comedian, actress and writer Cariad Lloyd, who describes it as “like

Top of the Pops but in a podcast, and with no music; I guess it’s not that much like Top of the Pops to be fair”, and brings together the best of each week’s comedy offering on BBC Radio 4.

Episodes are available for 30 days, and cross a lot of territory. On any given week you might find a Jane Austen improvisation, John Cleese chatting to various guests, YouTuber Damien Slash with his one-man show and topical satire, along with various sketches from established and up-and-coming comedians, interviews and a selection of old favourites unearthed from the archives — all brought together and neatly top-and-tailed by Lloyd.
