GRACE MONGEY

Followers: 105k Instagram 12.9k Twitter A beauty, fashion and lifestyle blogger who blogs as Faces By Grace, Grace pretty much live-Snapchatted the birth of her daughter Sienna, but later took a break from the platform when she attracted nasty comments: “I had a bit of backlash and negativity this weekend over pumping my breast milk after a night out,” she said, admitting she felt pressurised to dump the milk.

LYNN KELLY

Followers: 35.6k Instagram 7,780 Twitter Model, former Miss Universe Ireland and a self-confessed workout fan, who gets up at 5.30am and hits the gym before work “most days”, Lynn fell foul of the self-appointed body police and was attacked for being “too skinny” by some, and accused of being “irresponsible”, after posting a photo of herself in lingerie on Instagram.

JOANNE LARBY

Followers: 113k Instagram 17.1k Twitter Aka The Make-Up Fairy, Joanne is one of the country’s biggest blog stars, as well as a stylist, model and make-up artist, and a vocal champion of supporting and empowering women. The combination has been a winning one, but also led to disappointment — and a backlash — from fans who felt she was selling out by becoming ambassador for ‘teatox’ brand Miss Fit Skinny Tea.

VOGUE WILLIAMS

Followers: 170k Instagram 76.6k Twitter Vogue Williams has carved out a niche for herself as an entertainer by being wildly enthusiastic, brave and sometimes outspoken. But it all went a bit sour recently when she made a case for the internment of Muslim extremists. Some disagreed with her, some seemed to disagree with her right to hold political opinions at all: “Death threats, hate, pure vilification,” was, she says, the response.
