Viatel in €250k expansion

÷ IRELAND’S largest licensed microwave radio provider, Viatel has expanded its network reach to businesses in Northern Ireland with a €250,000 investment, continuing the company’s growth across the island of Ireland.

Viatel’s new licensed microwave radio network will service all of the key city business parks and the surroundin­g areas including Lisburn, Lurgan, Newtownard­s, Holywood, Newtownabb­ey. The new service will connect to Viatel’s core fibre network to deliver secure, high-speed, scalable bandwidth from 10Mbps to 1,000Mbps. “This network will deliver true enterprise class fibre like connectivi­ty to the business in the Belfast region,” Damien McCann, director of sales and marketing at Viatel, said.
