Straight-talking and sensible

Sir — May I congratulate and offer three cheers for your correspondent Brendan Burgess for his extremely sensible and straight-talking article in your newspaper of September 10.

About time someone spoke up for the hard-pressed taxpayer in this country — let’s just hope our government ministers read it and implement some, if not all of the changes proposed!
