The glamourati turn out for Karena’s baby shower
They’re starting earlier in House at the weekends — but last Saturday with good reason. Karena Graham — once one of the country’s top models, turned businesswoman of some note — had her baby shower at the hipster haunt on Leeson Street last Saturday afternoon.
The glamourati there to help Karena celebrate her good news — a baby due in four weeks with her beau, top sports agent Damien O’Donohoe — included Michele McGrath, Sarah Kavanagh, Andrea Roche, Louise Kavanagh, Leah O’Reilly, and Miriam O’Callaghan’s daughter Alannah McGurk. (The girls arrived at 1pm to a selection of mocktails and enjoyed afternoon tea until the late afternoon in the VIP conservatory). Speaking of the daughters of famous people, Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke’s daughter Maya was in Rasam restaurant in Glasthule three times last week with a gang of gal-pals. Maya Thurman-Hawke was presumably hoping to bump into Rasam regulars Christy Moore and Chris de Burgh. Still on the subject of (vaguely) famous people, actress Alison Doody’s top make-up artist daughter Alannah was spotted in the Skybar in Los Angeles last weekend.
