Mercedes boost for Connolly

÷ GALWAY-BASED Connolly Motor Group is to create 15 new full-time jobs after it was appointed as the main dealership for Mercedes-Benz cars in the area.

This brings the motor group’s total workforce in Galway to 50 and to more than 200 across Ireland.

The company is currently recruiting to fill the new positions, and the dealership will open in Ballybrit, Galway at the end of October.

The group, which is run by brothers Kevin and Neil Connolly, is one of the biggest motor groups in the country.

It already has a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Sligo and has Audi and Volkswagen dealership­s in Sligo and Ballina as well as an Audi dealership in Galway.
