Sale of 16 pub properties in Dublin delivers €17.8m
SIXTEEN Dublin pub properties with a combined value of more than €17.8m were sold in the first three quarters of the year, according to CBRE Ireland’s latest quarterly report on the volume and value of pub sales in the city’s market.
Commenting on the figures, John Ryan of CBRE’s hotel and licensed division said: “The number of Dublin pub properties changing hands in the first nine months of 2017 is down compared to the volume traded in the last three year period.
“To some extent however, an improvement in trading conditions in Dublin is reducing the number of licensed properties that are being offered to the market for sale. In addition to the more than €17.8m traded so far this year, four Dublin pubs are currently sale agreed and expected to close shortly.
“The average sale price achieved in the first nine months of the year was €1.18m.”
Among the notable Dublin pub properties that sold in the first nine months were Boland’s in Stillorgan; JJ’s Smyth’s on Aungier Street, Dublin 2; the Arc Café Bar at Liffey Valley; Sandyford House in Sandyford; MacTurcaill’s on Townsend Street, Dublin 2; and Nash’s pub in Dublin 8.
