Talbot Street looking lively

Nice to see Talbot Street finally getting the recognition it deserves as a destination for the world’s most glamorous superstars, with Blake Lively being photographed hanging out there earlier in the week. We here at ‘People Are Talking’, always ahead of the curve, have long been convinced of the northside thoroughfare’s hidden charms. They are there. Just perhaps very hidden, somewhere between the bookies and pawn merchants and wholesale hairdressing shops. We’ve been regulars in these parts for years (by default, the Sunday Independent offices are on Talbot Street, but still).

Blake, like us, was here for work, filming her new flick The Rhythm Section. But we’re sure, like us, she’ ll be seduced enough to keep coming back.

The only mystery is why she didn’t call in to see us at Independent House. We would have welcomed her with open arms. Or, at the very least, our finest vending machine snacks and some lovely instant coffee.
