Chanel Gabrielle, €137, Chanel counters nationwide

This eau de parfum is Chanel’s first original fragrance in 15 years, and is an all-new counterpoint to this year’s No5 L’Eau, which was a youthful reimagining of a classic. Gabrielle is entirely new, however, created by Olivier Polge, son of the former Chanel ‘nose” Jacques. It’s a ‘solar floral’, with heart notes of five white flowers, a citrussy top note and a musky base. “I enjoy how it starts out girlish and settles into something more sexy,” said one panellist.
