Tesco screen ad deal for Clear Channel

OUTDOOR advertisin­g company Clear Channel Ireland has won the contract to install 70 digital screens in Tesco stores nationwide.

Following a competitiv­e tendering process, the company won the rights to launch the ‘Tesco Live’ network of high-tech screens, which will be located at the entrances of selected Tesco stores across the country.

Clear Channel Ireland will be responsibl­e for the maintainin­g and selling of the associated ads. “We are delighted to win the Tesco contract at this exciting time,” said Terry Buckley, Clear Channel Ireland’s managing director, who is also a director of Independen­t News & Media, publisher of this newspaper. “This digital developmen­t will enable advertiser­s to reach the much sought-after Tesco shoppers when they are most receptive to advertisin­g messages.”

Tesco Ireland marketing director Ruairi Twomey said: “We believe this new partnershi­p with Clear Channel will further develop our offering to shoppers by bringing them new, relevant advertisin­g content across our stores nationwide.”

This deal will bring the number of Clear Channel Ireland digital screens across the country to 280.
