Man in 50s killed in tragic kayak accident

A man in his 50’s has died following a tragic accident on the River Suir. It is believed the man got into difficulty while out kayaking yesterday morning on the River Suir at Garnavilla, Cahir. Rescue 117 Coastguard helicopter and Cahir River Search and Rescue were called and treated the man at the scene, but he passed away.
