Model and cookbook author Roz Purcell has joined with restaurateur Ronan Ryan to set up Meal Made, a seven-day meal delivery service.

MODEL and best-selling cookery author Roz Purcell has partnered with well-known restaurateur Ronan Ryan to create a new tailor-made meal delivery service.

Meal Made offers a range of weekly pre-prepared meals tailored to individual requirements, lifestyle and tastes and delivered straight to the home or office anywhere in Dublin.

It is linked to Ryan’s online food delivery service, Good to Go which launched last September, with the reaction leading to this healthy food delivery service.

Ryan who also runs a daytime corporate catering company called Counter Culture serving 3,000 meals a week to several high-profile tech companies, said one of the problems people have with food is consistency.

“You might eat well for three days, then you have a deadline and you’ll eat whatever is in front of you because you are starving or you are travelling and just grabbing something in petrol stations.”

Meal Made delivers lunch, dinner and snacks covering up to seven days a week. It delivers the food cold to be heated the next day. There is a choice of 50 meals a week. A full week’s worth costs around €129 although specific days of the week can be selected for delivery as required.

He said that several people had signed up ahead of the launch just from hearing about Meal Made through word of mouth.

Purcell, author of Natural Born Feeder and Half Hour Hero, worked with Ryan to create recipes for the service, all of which will be overseen by nutritionist Sarah Keogh who will hold an ‘ask me anything’ forum for customers every two weeks.

“There is a space for Meal Made to make things easier for people and I’m all for anything that makes healthy food more convenient,” said Purcell.

“This is really geared towards people who want to eat well but just don’t have the time. Or it could be a case that they do have the time and they aren’t great at cooking.”

“People do want to lead a healthy lifestyle no matter what kind of schedule they have,” she added.
