DON’T MISS

-

Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas Special, RTE1, 9pm Mad matriarch Agnes is back for not one, but two festive adventures with her lovable, but flawed, family. The first takes place today, and the second airs on New Year’s Eve at 9.45pm.

As we all know, Christmas is the time of year that we all want to put our feet up and take it easy. It’s the same in the Brown household, but there’s little chance of that for poor Agnes.

The silly senior is concerned when she finds out that Rory is going under the knife.

But why does he want plastic surgery, and what will he look like when all is said and done?

One would hope that such antics would be the least of her worries, but of course the rest of the family bring their own issues.

Cathy has put herself back on the market and is giving internet dating a go. She claims to have snagged herself a handsome

stranger, but Agnes is concerned that online and reality are two different things, and the date might not measure up. As if all that wasn’t enough Grandad has convinced himself that the house is haunted — so the tree supplied by Buster will give some much-needed solace.

Or at least it would if it didn’t come from a clearance sale.

This festive period promises to be one headache after the other for the barmy Brown clan.
