DON’T MISS
The Nathan Carter Christmas Special, RTE1, 9.20pm
The singer-turned-host proved that his successful first run wasn’t just luck when he returned for the triumphant second series of his popular entertainment show.
Amidst the song and dance Nathan proved that he could keep up with the top entertainers who graced the stage with him.
To tide fans over until the show returns for a third outing, the Liverpudlian singer presents a festive musical extravaganza, in which he performs alone and with a selection of special guests.
He has some tremendous famous faces ready to storm the stage and, as always, there’s no doubt that Nathan has a few surprises waiting in the wings.
Stars swinging by include the former Sporty Spice Mel C and American singer Curtis Stigers, who perform alongside Nathan. There are also appearances from former member of The Saturdays Una Healy, Canadian family band The Fitzgeralds and the St Patrick’s Junior Choir, who had stone-faced Simon Cowell almost moved to tears on Britain’s Got Talent — if that isn’t a recommendation then what is?
And finally, the host’s younger brother Jake also drops in to prove that Nathan wasn’t the only one to get the talent.
Expect plenty of songs, dance and entertainment from this lively one-off spectacular.
