Ireland’s leading travel journalist meets top industry experts on stage at Holiday World Show
International award-winning travel journalist Eoghan Corry will take to the stage once again at Holiday World Show, Ireland’s largest travel consumer event, which returns to RDS Simmonscourt, Dublin for three days (26-28 January, 2018). This year’s show will feature the newly formatted ‘Let’s Talk Travel with Eoghan Corry in association with TravelExtra’ to give visitors insider tips and advice on all aspects of travel and tourism at home and abroad from a panel of industry experts.
The ‘Let’s Talk Travel’ sessions will see Eoghan leading international and Irish travel professionals in an ‘on the couch’ discussion before opening up the floor for questions. This is your chance to pick the brains of industry experts before booking your next big trip! HOLIDAY HOTSPOTS Kathryn Thomas, television presenter and former Irish Travel Journalist of the Year, will open ‘Let’s Talk Travel’ on Friday at 2.30pm, to swap her top travel stories with Eoghan. Busy with the current RTÉ 1 TV season of ‘Operation Transformation’, Kathryn will be present at Holiday World Show promoting Pure Results Bootcamp, her weight-loss and fitness retreat.
Next up is ‘What’s new in the USA’ (3.30pm on Friday) where experts from American Holidays, Visit USA, Las Vegas, New York and Atlantic City will discuss the hotspots for 2018, from the top theme parks in Orlando, to the new airline routes and city break destinations. Don’t miss ‘How to get the best cruise deals’ (4.15pm on Friday), where you can get recommendations on the best offerings from the experts at Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, MSC, Cruisescapes and Silverseas. TRAVEL GURUS On Saturday, Today FM DJ Phil Cawley, who has led a number of groups on the Camino de Santiago in Spain, will appear as part of the panel called ‘European Calling’ alongside experts from Sunway Travel, the Portuguese Tourism board and the Spanish Tourist Office.
Asia features strongly at this year’s Holiday World Show with exhibitors from Thailand, Japan, China, Taiwan, Malaysia and more. The ‘Let’s Talk Travel’ session on Asia (2.45pm on Saturday) will see Eoghan discuss the new areas of interest in the Far East with representatives from Wendy Wu and Turkish Airlines. In ‘Holiday Trends’ (2.15pm on Sunday), Eoghan and his panel of experts will look at the new trends in the travel market such as luxury holidays, adventure experiences, multi-centre trips and ecotourism.
Other ‘Let’s Talk Travel’ sessions over the weekend will cover Africa, Solo Holidays, Visas and Passports, Europe, Irish Attractions and Adventure Holidays.
