First, The Coronas and James Jnr take Manhattan...

- Diane Kruger, publisher Jason Binn and Shayne Kunzlemnan at VNYL

It was all happening on Third Avenue in New York last Thursday. And at Irish-owned 1970s-inspired nightclub The VNYL too...

Diane Kruger — star of Troy, opposite Brad Pitt and our own Brendan Gleeson, and Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds — joined a host of glorious types.

These included film producer Jason Weinberg, media mogul Jason Binn and New York legend of print Michael Musto.

These Manhattan media movers and shakers were all there to help Lady Diane celebrate her recent Golden Globe award for her movie In the Fade.

She was far from fading into the background, wearing a Mugler Spring 2018 look, and was accompanied by her VBF, fashion designer Jason Wu.

On the Friday night, The VNYL was proving its prowess on the hipometer yet further when the Tiffany & Co annual party for 400 executives was held there.

VNYL proprietor James Morris- sey Junior must be pleased with his success in New York because, as they say, if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.

Someone stop me before I burst into Frank Sinatra. Indeed our own uber-hip act The Coronas are playing a sold-out show next weekend in The Bowery Ballroom at 6 Delancey Street. And I’ll do more than burst into Frank Sinatra here.

I might even go.
