The social influencer and fitness expert chats to Elle Gordon about his favourite people, places and things

-

The person

My mother. She comes from absolutely nothing, has been through a lot, and is one of the toughest of people I know. She has taught me to never give up, and never complain.

The memory

Too many to think of ! I believe life should be spent making memories, as when it is all said and done, that is what you will be left with.

The moment of the day

Without a doubt, I am a morning person. I love waking up in the morning, planning out my day and having a good coffee. I feel I am at my most productive in the morning, and this is when I get the majority of my work done and come up with my best ideas

The song

Lose Yourself by Eminem. From the beat, to the lyrics, to the story it tells.

The movie

Probably Fight Club. I love the moody cinematography and the underlying message. There are also some amazing quotes in it, too.

The hero

Me! You’ve got be your own hero, ha ha!

The book

The Power of Now

by Eckhart Tolle. Teaches you how to be a bad ass, and how to stop caring about stuff that doesn’t matter.

The outfit

I love a good suit, but I also like anything that just fits well — some of the time, when I am looking my best, I am wearing a plain black T-shirt that cost hardly anything, and a pair of ripped jeans.

The accessory

I think a good watch can complete an outfit.

The gadget:

My DJI Mavic Drone. It really helps me capture any place I ever visit and it is a hit at any social event. Whenever I take it out and fly it, everyone is always amazed!.

The pet hate

I’m not a neat freak, but I dislike when people are messy and unorganised. I keep my apartment, car and office clean, as I believe this helps with productivity and thinking clearly.

The friend

I’m very fortunate to have an amazing circle of friends, who have been with me since the start. All of them support me in everything I do, but they’re not a bunch of ‘yes’ men. They will give me constructive criticism when needs be.

The piece of advice

Worrying is pointless. If something goes wrong, worrying and losing your cool does not help. Accept what has happened, and own it. Always look at the glass being half full rather than half empty.

The holiday

Australia. I am planning on going again soon, as when it is chilly in Ireland, it is warm and sunny there. Thailand would come in a close second.

The beauty product

The only products I really use are a matt clay for my hair, and a decent moisturiser. I believe if you want to actually look good and not rely on a bunch of external factors, you should sort out your sleep, diet, training regime and lifestyle.

The drink

I love something icy like a frozen mango margarita.

The hotel

I really like The Dean, it has a cool vibe to it. At the same time, I have stayed in some dodgy hostels when travelling, and have had the most fun in these places.

The bar

House Dublin. They always treat me so well in there; the staff are absolutely amazing.

The celebrity

I think Elon Musk is a boss. He is like the real-life Iron Man.

The hobby

Aside from training and nutrition, I am falling in love with MMA — it is like an art form and there is so much to learn. I also am a huge camera nerd, and am constantly learning about photography, videography and editing. This also massively helps my businesses.

The part of my body

The gun show.

The virtue

I am good at not taking anything personally, and I kinda just get on with things.

The vice

I am quite impatient, but, to be honest, this just makes me get things done faster.

The smell

No doubt it is Aventus by Creed. I don’t know what they put in that stuff, but it is magical.

The taste

Sushi, pizza and frozen yogurt, all in the same evening, one after the other.

“I am falling in love with MMA. It is like an art form, and there is so much to learn”
