Driver killed in collision with truck

A man was killed when his car was in collision with an articulated truck in Co Cavan.

The crash happened on the N3 at Bunn, Belturbet, shortly after 6pm last Friday. The victim, who was in his late 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was not injured.

The road was closed so that Garda forensic collision investigators could examine the crash site.
