Ivan Reitman’s comedy, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Danny DeVito and Emma Thompson. Scientist Alex Hesse is on the verge of a huge breakthrough regarding his research into fertility. However, to test out the next stage, he agrees to carry a pregnancy himself, which leads to some raised eyebrows and ridiculous situations. Frank Langella also features in the cast.
PACIFIC RIM (2013) ITV2, 7.25pm
Guillermo del Toro’s sci-fi action, starring Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi
and Charlie Day. The world comes under threat when giant monsters, known as Kaiju, come through a mysterious portal on a mission to destroy everything. Humanity fights back by building giant robots, called Jaegers, but things start to look desperate when the creatures appear to evolve. Ron Perlman and Burn Gorman also feature.
EDDIE THE EAGLE (2016) Channel 4, 9pm
Biographical drama, starring Taron Egerton and Hugh
Jackman. Michael Edwards will do anything to achieve his goal of becoming a world-renowned ski-jumper, despite the fact that no one else appears to believe in him. Teaming up with rebellious coach Bronson Peary, he makes it his mission to claim gold at the 1988 Winter Olympics. Christopher Walken also features.
FIREWALL (2006) TV3, 9pm
Crime thriller, starring Harrison Ford, Virginia Madsen and Paul
Bettany. Security specialist Jack Stanfield works for a global bank and prides himself in his abilities. However, when his family are taken hostage by a gang of nononsense criminals, it looks like he is going to have to give in to their demands and help them to pull off a heist. He takes it upon himself to try and thwart their scheme, which places him directly in the line of fire.
MONDAY THE BOURNE SUPREMACY (2004) ITV4, 9pm
Paul Greengrass’s actionpacked sequel, starring Matt Damon, Franka Potente, Brian
Cox and Julia Stiles. Former special operative Jason Bourne is attempting to start again by living off the grid with his girlfriend Marie. However, after an assassination attempt on his life goes wrong, he is pulled back into the espionage world on the hunt for revenge.
SAVING PRIVATE RYAN (1998) Sky One, 9pm
Steven Spielberg’s classic Second World War drama, starring Tom Hanks, Matt Damon, Tom
Sizemore and Vin Diesel. After the bloody Normandy Landings a group of American soldiers must risk everything by going far behind enemy lines to retrieve a soldier whose brothers have died in war, and bring him home.
EVE’S BAYOU (1997) TG4, 9.30pm
Drama, starring Samuel L Jackson, Jurnee Smollett-Bell
and Meagan Good. In 1960s Louisiana, doctor Louis Batiste seems to have the perfect family life. However, his young daughter accidentally witnesses him having an affair with one of his patients. Unable to keep it to herself, she tells her older sister, which leads to a chain of lies that could potentially tear the family apart.
TUESDAY FAST & FURIOUS (2009) ITV2, 9pm
Action sequel, starring Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster. Brian O’Conner is back working with the FBI, while his former companion Dominic Toretto finds himself back in Los Angeles. However, their paths soon cross, and they are forced to team up against a common enemy — a dangerous heroin importer. Gal Gadot, John Ortiz and Laz Alonso also feature in the cast.

Action, starring Liam Neeson and January Jones (below). Martin Harris, a skilled biochemist, is attending a conference in Berlin when he is involved in a serious car crash that leaves him in a coma. Waking days later, he is shocked to discover that someone has completely stolen his identity, to the point that his wife doesn’t even recognise him. He must now unravel the mystery of what has happened and find out who is behind it.

Romantic comedy, starring Jason Segel, Emily Blunt, Chris Pratt and Alison Brie. Tom decides to propose to his girlfriend Violet and the pair start planning their big day. However, a series of setbacks keep getting in the way, resulting in them delaying their wedding time after time.

Action sequel, with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson. Dom, Brian and their crew find themselves in the crosshairs of a notorious Brazilian drug lord. In order to earn their freedom they must pull off an elaborate heist for him, which lands them in trouble with the federal government, in particular the relentless agent Hobbs.

Comedy drama, starring George Clooney, Shailene Woodley and Amara Miller. Matt King, a well-known land baron living in Hawaii, is left reassessing his family life after his wife is involved in a serious boating accident. He uses this new outlook to attempt to reconnect with his two daughters.
THURSDAY MEN IN BLACK 3 (2012) Film4, 6.55pm
Sci-fi adventure, starring Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, Josh Brolin and Jemaine Clement. Dangerous alien criminal Boris the Animal escapes from prison and travels back in time to kill the younger Agent K. Agent J takes it on himself to chase the villain, but he soon finds the 1960s even stranger than the present day.

Romantic comedy, starring Natalie Hall, Darin Brooks and Frances Fisher. Career woman Jennifer throws her best friend, slacker Kevin, a lifeline when she agrees to let him move in with her. However, years later, they find out that their long-term living arrangements have resulted in both of them falling through an awkward legal loophole.

Ridley Scott’s sci-fi drama, starring Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain and Kristen Wiig. A team that is carrying out research on the surface of Mars get caught up in a dangerous storm.
