SAVITA’S PARENTS CALL FOR YES VOTE

The parents of Savita Halappanavar have released a video from their home in India calling for a Yes vote in the forthcoming referendum. Savita died at University Hospital Galway in 2012 after developing septicaemia from a prolonged miscarriage. In the video, her father, Andanappa Yalagi, reads from a prepared statement calling for a Yes vote on what he calls “a historic day for Ireland”.
