‘It’s the event that all gardening enthusiasts go to’

- AILEEN MULDOON BOYNE VALLEY GARDEN CENTRE

Boyne Garden Centre is a multiaward-winning garden centre nestled in the heart of the Boyne Valley in Slane, Co. Meath.

This family-run garden centre and nursery are renowned for their unique selection of top quality, hardy cottage garden perennials, shrubs, trees, and roses with the centre itself surrounded by planted borders encouraging birds and wildlife.

The business is considered one of the top growers in the country, illustrated by its success at Bloom in past years winning seven consecutive gold medals and three ‘Best in Show’.

Owner Aileen Muldoon says the impact Bloom has on businesses like hers is “long term” with many new customers arriving at her door with images of creations seen at the five-day festival.

“It’s a chance to show new plants that are being newly introduced to the Irish market. The public can be surprised what we are actually growing in this country and it’s great to see their enthusiasm once they know.”

The centre will showcase their own plants at Bloom and hope that once again, feedback will be positive.

“There’s something for everyone at Bloom and it’s quite unique in that you can buy plants and see them showcased.

“It’s the event that all gardening enthusiasts go to, but I don’t think there’s a household in the country that hasn’t heard of Bloom.”
