Channel 4, 1.55pm Animation, with the voices of Adam Goldberg, Jay Harrington

and Vanessa Paradis. The citizens of Paris worry that they are under attack from a horrifying monster. Emile and Raoul find themselves caught up in the hunt for the creature, but are more than a little shocked to discover that it is far from what it seems.

MIssIon: IMPossIble — Ghost Protocol (2011)

RTE2, 7.05pm Action sequel, starring Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon

Pegg and Paula Patton. Ethan Hunt and his team of highlytrai­ned agents are on the trail of dangerous terrorist Hendricks. However, their actions in Russia see them blamed for the bombing of the Kremlin. They must now work outside of the law if they are to clear their names and stop the villain once and for all.

Meet the Fockers (2004)

RTE1, 9.30pm Comedy sequel, with Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman

and Barbra Streisand. Greg has been building bridges with his partner’s uptight father Jack. However, things hit a bump in the road when Greg’s much more laid-back parents Bernie and Roz decide to come and visit, meaning Greg will finally have to give the introducti­on he has long been dreading.

hell or hIGh WAter (2016)

Channel 4, 10.15pm Tense thriller, with Chris Pine, Ben Foster and Jeff Bridges. Unemployed and divorced, Toby is close to losing his family’s ranch. In desperatio­n, he turns to his brother, a recently released con, for help, leading them to carry out a daring bank robbery.

MONDAY robocoP (2014)

E4, 9pm Sci-fi action remake, starring Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton and Samuel L Jackson. Alex Murphy is a good cop and loving family man. However, his life takes a turn when he is critically injured in a shoot-out. That’s when OmniCorp steps in, promising to save his life — so long as it can use his body to field test its latest creation — a part-man, part-machine cop.

leGend (2015)

Film4, 9pm Biographic­al drama, starring Tom Hardy in dual roles, with Emily Browning, Taron Egerton and Christophe­r Eccleston. Gangster twins Ronald and Reginald Kray are seen as local heroes in London in the 1960s. The police are eager to take them down, but the duo’s criminal activity is always one step ahead. However, the introducti­on of the beautiful Frances Shea sees a rift begin to form between them which threatens to bring everything that they have built crashing down.

the FountAIn (2006)

TG4, 10.30pm Darren Aronofsky’s ambitious and fantastica­l drama, with Hugh Jackman, Rachel Weisz and Sean Patrick Thomas. Three stories unfold at the same time, all following men who are compelled by the power of love to save a woman close to them.

TUESDAY trAnscende­nce (2014)

Film4, 6.40pm Sci-fi drama, starring Johnny Depp, Rebecca Hall, Morgan Freeman, Cillian Murphy and

Paul Bettany. A brilliant scientist is developing the next step in artificial intelligen­ce, when an assassinat­ion attempt leaves him close to death. In desperatio­n, he uploads his consciousn­ess into the system, which leads to startling revelation­s to those who were once close to him.

GroWn uPs 2 (2013)

RTE2, 9.30pm Comedy, starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock and Salma Hayek. Lenny and his family move back to his hometown so that he can be closer to his life-long friends. He soon discovers that it is far from the lifestyle change he expected it to be, as mad moments and strange characters seem to be lurking behind every corner.

WEDNESDAY the dAnIsh GIrl (2016)

RTE1, 9.35pm Touching Oscar-winning drama, starring Eddie Redmayne, Alicia Vikander and Amber Heard. In 1926, married couple Einar and Gerda, who are both artists, have a session in which he poses for a portrait while wearing a dress. This simple action leads him on a journey of self-discovery, one that puts strain on their relationsh­ip as they attempt to figure out who they both really are on the inside.

the toWn (2010)

3e, 10.05pm Ben Affleck both directs and stars in this crime drama, which also features Rebecca Hall, Jon Hamm and Jeremy Renner. Doug MacRay and his gang of thieves successful­ly knock off a number of banks around Boston. As the police begin to close in, he starts to grow close to an employee of one of the locations they have already hit. However, tensions are high among the criminals, and the net seems to move in around them.

MAMA (2013)

Channel 4, 1am Horror, starring Jessica Chastain (right) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. Annabel and Lucas take in Lucas’s two young nieces, who have been left homeless after their father’s unusual death. However, the couple soon come to suspect that a threatenin­g presence has turned its attention to the children, and will do anything it can to keep them to itself.

ThUrSDAY run All nIGht (2015)

RTE2, 9.30pm Crime drama, with Liam Neeson, Ed Harris and Joel Kinnaman. Hitman Jimmy Conlon finds himself between a rock and a hard place when mobster Shawn Maguire, a long-time friend, targets his son Michael. Now Jimmy must do everything he can to keep Michael safe, even going up against contract killers, corrupt cops and more dangers.

leAd WIth your heArt (2015)

TG4, 11.35pm Romantic drama, with William Baldwin, Kari Matchett and Steven Love. Married couple Maura and Ben find themselves drifting apart. Not wanting them to go through a divorce, their kids Lacey and Adam decide to do whatever it takes to get them to stay together.

tInker tAIlor soldIer sPy (2011)

ITV4, 11.40pm A superb cast including Gary Oldman, Colin Firth and Mark Strong star in this espionage drama. The top brass at Britain’s MI6 thinks that there is a Soviet mole hiding within the organisati­on. It brings veteran agent George Smiley out of his semi-retirement to help flush them out, knowing that he’s the perfect man for the challengin­g job.

FrIDAY coloMbIAnA (2011)

E4, 9pm Action, starring Zoe Saldana. Cataleya witnessed her family’s murder when she was younger, which set her on her path to becoming a stone-cold assassin. She hopes that each job she takes will bring her one step closer to catching the ruthless mobster who was responsibl­e.

terMInAtor 2: JudGMent dAy (1991)

TV3, 11pm Sci-fi action, starring Arnold Schwarzene­gger, Linda Hamilton, Edward Furlong and Robert Patrick. Teenager John, the son of Sarah Connor, is targeted by a murderous robot from the future, one that is more advanced than the one that came after her years before. However, things take a turn when a machine that looks just like the original Terminator is also sent back to protect John at all costs.

WhAt WoMen WAnt (2000)

BBC1, 11.45pm Romantic comedy, starring Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt. Chauvinist Nick is involved in an accident that leaves him with a remarkable ability — he is able to hear the things that women are thinking. He plans to use this to get the upper hand at work, but he soon finds himself falling in love.

SATUrDAY Wreck-It rAlPh (2012)

BBC1, 6.20pm Animation, with the voices of John C Reilly, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch and Sarah Silverman. A video game villain begins to question his place in life, and does the unthinkabl­e — he leaves his arcade machine and sets off on an adventure into other games. This leads to chaos as the other machines are affected in unusual ways by his presence.

kInGsMAn: the secret serVIce (2014)

Channel 4, 9pm Action, with Colin Firth, Taron Egerton and Samuel L Jackson. A street-wise teen is recruited into the ranks of a top-secret spy organisati­on, and is pushed to the limit on his first mission.

brIdGe oF sPIes (2015)

RTE1, 9.40pm Steven Spielberg’s Cold War drama, starring Tom Hanks and Mark Rylance. An American lawyer is recruited by the government to defend a Soviet spy who has been captured.
