Teenager arrested over crash

A teenage boy has been arrested after a woman was seriously hurt in a car crash. The incident happened on Canal Bridge at Osberstown in Naas, Co Kildare, about 8.30pm last Friday.

Gardai say it appeared that a car hit a parked car and then struck a 51-year-old woman who was walking nearby. The victim’s condition at Tallaght Hospital is described as “serious”. An abandoned car was recovered and will be examined by Garda technical experts.
