Video Doc platform to raise fresh €6m
IRISH online doctor platform Video Doc is set to raise a further €6m in a new funding round to be launched in the first quarter of next year.
The company has contracts with both the VHI in Ireland and the NHS in the UK to provide therapy services online.
Chief executive Mary O’Brien said that Video Doc had benefited from its participation in Enterprise Ireland and KPMG’s female entrepreneur programme, Going for Growth.
Since taking part in 2016, O’Brien said the company had gone from zero to 32 employees and had already raised €6m.
Sixty places are available for the next cycle of Going for Growth, which will run from January to June 2019 and the deadline for applications is Wednesday, November 28.
The initiative is open to female entrepreneurs who are looking to scale their businesses to join the latest cycle of the business development programme.
