Walsh honoured at tourism awards
Airline chief executive Willie Walsh was among those honoured at the Irish Tourism Industry Awards last Friday night when he was presented with a Special Recognition Award.
Transport Minister Shane Ross said he was delighted to acknowledge the hard work of businesses in the sector. The event is organised by the Irish Tourism Industry Confederation, Failte Ireland and Tourism Ireland.
Mr Walsh is the chief executive of International Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company of Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia and Vueling.
