Digger used in Co Down raid on ATM

An investigation has been launched after a digger was used to remove an ATM from a filling station in Co Down. The incident happened at 3am at a garage on the Glenavy Road in Moira. The digger and the roof of the petrol station were later set alight.

Northern Ireland’s fire and rescue service attended the scene and extinguished the blaze. Police investigating the incident believe the digger was taken from a location nearby before the raid.
