Ariana’s Magaluf moment

-

As if Ariana Grande couldn’t be more the voice of a generation, this week she single-handedly became the spokesmodel for a demographic who are, to use your mother’s phrase, “only ruined” with tattoos. And we mean ‘single handedly’ quite literally.

For, on one elegant little mitt, Grande tried to get a tattoo of her hit 7 Rings but instead got the Japanese for ‘BBQ grill’. Not since Conor McGregor getting his own name in big letters on his chest has there been such a major ink fail, but Ariana finessed her way out of it like someone who falls flat on their face and pretends it was a dance move.

First she said that she was a huge fan of ‘tiny BBQ grills’. She then said the homeware faux pas happened because the extra letters, which would have made it make sense, were too painful to get. It was a lesson all teenagers could take something from: needles hurt, languages are hard, and even if you’re not being egged on by drunken friends in Magaluf, tattoo mistakes do happen.
