Bounce back

Resilience is required in these savage months, says Sarah Caden, who has five top products

One hears a lot about resilience these days. It’s what we need to nurture in our children in order for them to flourish in a world that is fast-moving and unforgiving. Without resilience, they won’t bounce back, and the same goes for our skin — whatever our age.

Age, of course, plays a role. A younger person might stand accused of being an emotional snowflake, but their skin is naturally hardier. Collagen, elastin and other bounce-back complexion qualities diminish with age, and leave our skin less springy. Youth is not an impenetrable shield to the elements and environment, however, and the current cold weather and central heating ravage even the most resilient. What we need now is applied resilience, and we have five products to boost the bounce-back.
