Clodagh Dooley's Pick of the Week: Yoga in Lough Eske Castle

-

Last weekend, I travelled to 5-Star Lough Eske Castle in Co Donegal fora bespoke yoga and wellness weekend, in association with Yoga Mara. I had never tried yoga before, so I was nervous about what to expect! Turned out. I had nothing to worry about. Whether you are a beginner or advanced the lovely sister-duo Rachel and Hannah Healy (who host the tailor-made yoga escapes across Ireland) made us all feel very relaxed. We had four yoga classes during the weekend, as well as a cooking demonstration with Finn Ni Fhaolain. She taught us how to make healthy dishes using seaweed and was the brainchild behind our delicious evening meals. The castle itself is nestled at the edge of Lough Eske. with views of the Blue Stack Mountains. which added to the entire wellness experience. It was great to switch off during walks. before going back to the hotel for a facial in the luxury spa. Or. a rest on the incredible four-poster bed of the Deluxe Room I IN3S staying in! If you want to retreat to Donegal. Lough Eske Castle has a Winter Spa Detox package from €375 per luxury guest room (two sharing, one night between Sunday-Friday). Includes: full Irish breakfast. three-course dinner in Cedars Restaurant and one 30-minute spa treatment. Visit www.lougheskecastlehoteicom or call #333749725 100.
