Editor’s letter

We’ve got plenty of love and romance this week. Rachel has a romantic Valentine’s Day brunch that you might want to make today, rather than on Thursday, given it involves a cocktail. We’ve got date-night dressing and beauty tips, too. But for Valentine’s Day this year we’re mainly thinking about loving yourself. Wayne Walsh and Aoife Doyle have both had a bit of a journey to self-acceptance, and for both of them it involved accepting and getting in tune with their bodies, too.

We also have plenty more food and fashion, and nice writing as well from Tommy, Declan and our Basic B*tch. And Glenda Gilson invites us into her new home, where she’s been enjoying new motherhood — surely, as the song goes, the greatest love of all. Love, Brendan
