Easter is late this year, which means it’s a long stretch to any big interruption in normal service. This might well see some of us setting more store than usual in Valentine’s Day, just for a bit of diversion. It’s a chance to press snooze on all the self-denial of last month, and maybe even have a night out.

In the case of the latter, you may be in the market for a pretty purchase, and a new lipstick is an obvious, but also rather satisfying option. On a cosmetic level, a new lip colour can breathe new life into a tried-andtested look. On a romantic level, now’s the time to draw attention to your lips. Whether your choice is bold colour or a splash of shine, make sure to prep your lips first with a scrub and balm to ensure you’re ready to pucker up.
