From a sartorial point of view, Netflix’s Sex

Education, above, is mostly a homage to the movies of John Hughes. And then there is Gillian Anderson. If you are a woman over, say, 30, you need to check out Anderson’s look in the series (and in real life, right) as a what-to-wear come the warmer weather.

She’s doing a sort of 1970s-lite; not pastiche, just with hints of that era. Her preferred silhouette is cropped-above-the-ankle skirts, jumpers or culottes, with a simple V-neck on top, folksy cardigans (Gucci) and Christian Louboutin wedge heels.
