Creating a buzz

Do you sip hot honey drinks to soothe a sore throat or winter ailments? Well, you’re not alone, as the University of Cardiff’s pharmabees project, which aims to develop a manukastyle honey to treat antibioticresistant hospital pathogens, has teamed up with a local tea producer, Welsh Brew tea, to make a healthier cuppa. Their partnership is part of their work to develop honey with similar bug-killing powers to that of New Zealand’s manuka honey, so watch this space!
