Triona’s top trends

-

It’s all very well trying out new make-up trends, but if your foundation isn’t right, trust me, nothing you apply on top of it will look good. Thank the beauty gods for Armani and the modern-day wizard Linda Cantello, the international MUA for the brand, who whips up the most fabulous formulations for our face. I recently got to sit down with Linda to talk through new additions to the

Giorgio Armani Power Fabric Longwear High Cover Foundation,

above, €47; a new concealer and a balm. Linda let me in on a secret; as L’Oreal — which makes Giorgio Armani beauty products — has bought Dermablend, the make-up brand best known for its camouflage products, they might just have used some of that tech in the new

Giorgio Armani Power Fabric High Coverage Liquid Concealer,

below, €37. It combines the blendable qualities of foundation with the coverage of concealer. Perfect for concealing spots or carving out brows! I also wear this under my eyes, and find it’s actually quite hydrating and it doesn’t flake. But it is the

Giorgio Armani Power Fabric Compact Foundation Balm,

€70, that I’m going absolutely gaga over! Perfectly portable, it provides high coverage with a velvety second-skin feel, and it comes in 50 shades to suit every skin tone without cracking and dulling. I wear shade 5.5 — it melts into my skin, blurring imperfections with a lightweight matte veil. It feels like you’re not wearing make-up at all, so I find I don’t give my make-up another thought as I go about my day.
