How do you do? I’m a dog called The Sue

MY PET

HELLO everybody, my name is Suzie, but everyone calls me The Sue. I am a Jack Russell and I am a seven-year-old rescue dog.

I was once badly treated so I grew afraid, lost all my confidence and felt very alone — until in April 2012 my whole life changed.

I was brought to my lovely new home in Kildare, where I got lots of cuddles, love and kindness and I even got my own cosy warm chair. I like to think I’m a stunner, but I don’t know if that’s a runner.

I have my photos around the house, sitting on my daddy’s lap, so I am happy with that. Maybe I might get my photo in the Sunday Independent some day.

I am very well trained and get lots of goodies and treats. I bark at my daddy to get out of bed and I bark at my mammy when I want to be fed. I love my walks it has to be said, and running in fields and chasing rabbits in my dreams. I love the odd sausage, when it comes my way and when I get it that makes my day.

I go to work with my daddy and mammy every day and in the evening I will bark to go out and play. When I go walking on the way to the shop, people will stop, and say what a lovely dog, that makes my day and when there is a whiff, like a good old sniff.

I am a good watchdog I have to say, I am a yapper, but not a snapper, and I keep everyone at bay. I am cheeky at times, and I know how to get my own way. I have the run of the house, so I am here to stay.

I am a very lucky dog, daddy and mammy do say to me everyday and I give them love and kindness each day.

So my last words is to say, to my four-legged friends, this is how it should be for us all each day.
