Wednesday Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (2016) Film4, 9pm

Adventure, starring Eva Green and Asa Butterfiel­d. Troubled youth Jacob stumbles across a secret that leads him to a remote island orphanage. It is there that he meets a group of unusual children who have powers beyond his imaginatio­n. Samuel L. Jackson, Chris O’Dowd and Rupert Everett also feature.

My Yellow Brick Road RTE 2, 9.30pm

Four people who have overcome obstacles in life offer others some much-needed advice on how to turn things around. First up is Laura Gahan, who is looking for a job after dealing with serious health issues.
