Learning to be content with what is
Learning how to be content in this life with whatever occurs each day, and not just when you get what you want, can be challenging, especially when we experience pain, heartache and loss. Trying to decipher the meaning in everything can drive us crazy sometimes. Why is this happening? The world seems so unfair. These are often questions we ask during tough times. And yes, it is hard sometimes, but it’s like that for everyone. There is an antidote available though, and it’s your heart connection, which will always bring some semblance of peace to your life.
This is a very powerful tool to have in your healing kit. Connecting with the heart is like a healing balm that soothes and softens even the most intense pain. It might not fully remove the pain, but it sure gives you the chance to sit more comfortably with yourself as you navigate choppy waters. When you wake up anxious after sleeping and you don’t know why, it’s easy to slip into a self-defeating mode of “Why can’t I just be normal and happy?” You are normal; you are just feeling different emotions, and our first reaction if our emotion is not fully comfortable is that we have to fix ourselves. We feel like this because we are fed the myth of perfection from the media and the billiondollar wellness industry, which feeds on your insecurities and installs an unrealistic need to be the happiest person in the world. We are here on Earth to experience being a full human being, which includes contrast. That means happy/sad, pain/relief, ups/downs, love/loss, and so on. We must learn to trust our heart, because it is our guidance system to our individual truth and purpose on this Earth. Be with what is, right here and right now. That’s how your life is created.
