Monday Galway 2020 — Opening Ceremony RTE One, 7.30pm
A chance to see the best parts of the celebration, which takes place in the 2020 European Capital of Culture. Expect an entertaining spectacle — including 400 chanters, drummers and fire carriers —culminating in an unforgettable pyrotechnic display on the city’s iconic sea-front.

Oscar-winning drama, starring Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner and Jared Leto. In 1985, a hustler is diagnosed with AIDS but left annoyed at how people with the disease are treated.
This is when he decides to start providing medication to patients outside of the harsh system.

Catch all of the drama and excitement from Sunday night’s glitzy award show, as nominees including Saoirse Ronan, Adam Driver, Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansson competed for Hollywood’s top award.

Thursday Being Stan: A Life in Focus RTE One, 10.15pm
This one-off documentary looks back at the eventful life and remarkable work of Sister Stanislaus Kennedy, who recently turned 80 years-old. We hear many heart-warming stories about her, including of her work with the homeless, youths and immigrants.
