MUIRHEVNAMOR have taken over as leaders, while Fane now alone prop up the table in the Dundalk Summer League following this week’s results.

A Mickey O’Kane hat-trick inspired Muirhevnamor to beat near neighbours Doolargy All Stars and to move to the head of the table mid-week.

This was the fourth straight win for the 2014 kingpins and present cup holders. Redeemer Celtic closed to within a point with an extra game played with a narrow 3-2 victory over Rampart Celtic, the early pacesetters with three wins on the trot. But this was their second successive defeat - inflicted by a goal each from Ryan Dillon, Stephen Grimes, Stephen Begley. Stefan Zlokapa and Brian Hand netted for Rampart.

Bottom side Bay earned their first point after four games, drawing the local derby with Quay Celtic two-all. Mario Kolak notched both goals for Bay and Danann Killeen also netted a brace for Quay.

That left Fane sharing the bottom spot with Bay, with Fane losing out in another high scoring match that has been a feature of the season by the odd goal in nine to mid table Muirhevnamor Celtic.

Tomiaa Badoun hit a brace for Celtic, while Gino Cooney, John Mc Nally and Michael Grey netted a goal apiece. Dano Kerr and Sean Bailey were on target for Fane.

That position changed on Monday night, with Bay following that draw with their first win, beating Muirhevnamor Celtic 4-2 to climb up one place and leave Fane popping up the table, although they earned their second draw of the campaign, drawing 1-1 with Doolargy.

•The draw was made for the Clancy Cup on Monday night and saw the holders and league champions Shamrocks pitted against bottom club Fane.

The tie of the round brings together the early pacesetters Rampart Celtic and the current league leaders Muirhevnamor. There is one preliminary tie between Dooolargy and Bay United.
