Recent deaths

Oliver McClean, Dunbin, Knockbridge, Dundalk who died suddenly on June 27th. Survived by wife, Loreto (née Reynolds), sons, Donal and Kenneth, brother Tommy, relatives and friends. Reposing at home before removal on Thursday at 10.30 a.m. to Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kilkerley for Requiem Mass at 11.00 a.m. Burial in adjoining cemetery.

Maureen McArdle (née Coburn), ‘Derriville’ The Laurels, Dundalk who died peacefully in St. Oliver Plunkett Hospital on June 26th. Predeceased by husband, Johnny and son, John and survived by daughters, Elizabeth, Jean, Siobhan, and Frances relatives and friends. Reposed at her home before removal to-day ( Tuesday) to St. Patrick’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 11.00 a.m. Burial in St. Patrick’s cemetery.

Kieran Stan Corrigan, Aghaboys, Ballymascanlon, Dundalk and formerly of Tullysaran, Co. Tyrone who died peacefully at his home on June 24th. Survived by wife, Kate, daughters, Edel and Saoirse, brothers, John, Paddy, Paul and Peter, sister, Teresa, family and friends. Reposed at his home before removal on Monday to Church of the Holy Redeemer for Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon. Burial in St. Patrick’s cemetery.

Brian Finn, The Orchard, Rock Road, Blackorck who died peacefully in the Mater Hospital on June 24th. Survived by wife, Bazie (née Kieran), daughters, Anne and Bernice, relatives and friends. Reposed at his home before removal on Monday for Requiem Mass at 11.00 a.m. in St. Fursey’s Church, Haggardstown. Cremation afterwards in Glasnevin Crematorium.

Kathleen Gaffey (née Reilly), Fatima Drive, Dundalk who died peacefully on June 23rd. Predeceased by husband, John Joe and survived by children, Bridget, Margaret, Kathleen, Lily, Jimmy, Rose, John, Caroline, Bernie, Theresa, Alice, Audrey, Eddie, Helen, Francis, Linda, Subrina and Susan, relatives and friends. Reposed at her residence before removal on Sunday to St. Nicholas Church for Requiem Mass at 2.00 p.m. Burial in Castletown cemetery.
