THE second round of our juvenile under 8s ‘Fundamental Handball’ skills tournament went very well last week. All juveniles demonstrated their skills superbly on the night and were tested in the following skills: Underarm stroke, Overhand stroke, Backwall Shot, and Fly shot. We would like to thank all our coaches and supporters for making it a very enjoyable night for everyone.

Our upcoming perpetual shield team of four tournament will begin in August and club players wishing to enter the event can give their names to T Black please.

Last week’s committee meeting in the Pheasant was well attended and our upcoming charity fund raising event was discussed in great detail. We would like to thank everyone for their valuable input on the night more details on this event will be posted next Friday night at the club.

We have a new batch of WallBall handballs available for purchase the cost is €5 each. Any club players wishing to attend the 60x30 coaching clinic at Kingscourt Handball Club next Wednesday at 7.30pm can contact J Kelly. The clinic will be led by Michael Finnegan and will last for two hours cost free you can also book your place via Development.Handball@Gaa.ie.
