WELL done to St Fechin’s ladies who beat Glyde Rangers in the Division 2 semi-final on Sunday. After a superb second-half performanc­e they won by 2-9 to 1-6. They now go on to the final where they will face St Kevin’s on Sunday next.

Well done also to St Fechin’s hurlers who began the defence of their Senior Championsh­ip title with a stunning victory over Naomh Moninne on Thursday night - 5-19 to 0-10.

Good luck to the St Fechin’s Senior footballer­s who face St Joseph’s in their first championsh­ip game on Friday night in the Grove, Castlebell­ingham, at 8.15.

St Fechin’s Annual Golf Classic takes place in County Louth Golf Club on 22nd July. Anyone interested in taking part or sponsoring the event should contact 086-8505269.

Our juvenile fixtures this week continue on Wednesday when the U-13s take on Dundalk Young Irelands away at 7.30pm. Thursday sees the U-12s go out against Ardee, while the U-16s play O’Mahony’s/Dowdallshi­ll in the Shield semi-final, both in Beaulieu at 7.30.
