WOMEN IN ENTERPRISE IS THE KEY FOCUS

The countdown is on to the second annual Enterprise Ireland Internatio­nal Business Women’s Conference. The conference will be held in conjunctio­n with the Rose of Tralee Internatio­nal Festival on Monday, August 22 at the Brandon Hotel, Tralee.

Enterprise Ireland is calling on the business women of Louth to join them and the line-up of 29 expert speakers who are set to take to the podium; some 27 of those are some of Ireland’s leading business women and entreprene­urs. Inspiratio­nal female figures such as Eleanor McEvoy and Norah Casey from Dragons’ Den will share their experience­s and insights.

The event will celebrate the business achievemen­ts and success stories of women under the conference theme ‘ The Changing Face of Success’ focussing on strong female role models leading by example and empowering women to fulfil their ambitions.

Enterprise Ireland CEO, Julie Sinnamon said: ‘A key focus for Enterprise Ireland is helping businesses to start, innovate and scale. Last year we invested in a record number of female-led start-up companies, and we are determined to increase this number.

‘We recognise the huge contributi­on women make to Irish businesses, large and small, across every region in Ireland. The conference aims to highlight the entreprene­urial capability and success of Irish women, and inspire all business women to expand their business horizons by leveraging the global Irish network’.
