JUST when one thing is over, another is round the corner. WE had a wonderful Family Fun Day last Sunday with great crowds present and plenty of activities for all age-groups to enjoy. What wasn’t won on the football or athletic track, you could be sure of a goldfish going home. I’d say there is a few adults feeling sore after their efforts in the races but happy to have taken part. Well done to our visitors from other clubs in the football games too. Thanks to all our own helpers that ensured a great time was had by all and to Pádraig Rath also for bringing the league trophy won by Louth for display. NEXT Friday, we have our Annual Golf Classic in Seapoint. If you have not already entered a team you can still do so by contacting any member of the club committee. Teams of four cost €240 including a meal at the Golf Club. Sponsorship for the tees and greens is €50 and these can be reserved as well by contacting the club members straight away. We will have a special raffle to coincide with the Classic and this draw and presentation of prizes will take place in Foley’s around 9pm. Should be a good night too! HEARTIEST congratulations to our under 16s girls who won the first trophy for girls in the club with success in the League final . Well done girls and their mentors Kevin and Thos. The future is in good hands. THE Lotto jackpot stands at €14,600 and was not won last week. The numbers drawn were 2, 3 4 and 21. the five €20 lucky dip winners were Adam Lambe, Patricia O’Connor, Del Foley, Brian and Niall Connor and Ken Donnelly.
