TRAINING for all juveniles U5 to U14 continues at the Fairgreen on Saturday afternoons from 2pm to 3pm with the usual €2 contributi­on still applying. New players are welcome.

Our U16 team recorded a comfortabl­e victory in the Ulster League last Wednesday night against East Cavan Gaels by 1019 to 1-1 in Bailieboro­ugh. The Moninne team was Conor Murphy, Sean McGill, Eoin Murphy, James Shevlin, Padraig Fallon, Oisin Murtagh, Ultan McEneaney, Darren Geoghegan, Alan Carr, Craig Callan, Aaron Mulholland.

The U12 travelled to Castleblan­ey last Thursday evening for a challenge match which the Monaghan side won by 8-11 to 6-1. The Moninne scorers were Sam Phelan (3-0), Aaron McGuinness Smyth (1-1), Ciaran Walsh (1-0) and Shane Shields (1-0).

Our U14 team play their latest game in the league tonight (Tuesday) when they take on St Kevins/Mattock/Glen Emmets in the Fairgreen at 7.30pm.

Following on Wednesday night the senior team play Killeavy in the Ulster Tain League at 7.15pm at a venue TBC.

This Friday night (August 12) the Fairgreen will be the venue for the latest round of U8 blitzes with the first games throwing in at 7pm.

The club will hold their second flag day of the year in Dundalk town on Saturday 20/08/2016 and will be looking for volunteers to help out on the day. If you are available please contact the club treasurer David Duffy on 0876536665.
