CALLING ALL YOUNG STRING PLAYERS

-

REGISTRATION is now open once again for new members to join Music Generation Louth’s String Orchestra Programme.

An exciting schedule of events and performance for the groups has been planned for the year ahead with rehearsals run each Saturday morning during school term time at the PJ Carroll’s Building at Dundalk Institute of Technology.

Under the direction of local musician Jayne Graham, the programme has now grown to cater for three levels of young string players – Senior Strings, Junior Strings and First Strings. Membership to First Strings is open to anyone who has been attending lessons on violin, viola, cello or double bass for a year or more. Junior Strings caters for young players who have attained grades 1- 3 standard of playing and Senior Strings caters for more advanced players.

The programme provides members affordable, high quality training as orchestra string players. It is a fantastic way for young players to develop their musical skills as well as make lots of new friends and have great fun! HOW TO JOIN We would be delighted to hear from children and young people who would like to join. No audition is necessary.
