CAMOGIE CLUB

St Brides Camogie Club are holding a Breakfast Morning in St. Brides clubhouse this Sunday August 28 from 9.00am to 1.00pm. Please come and enjoy a hearty breakfast among friends while supporting the club.

PARISH NEWS

Fr Paddy Rushe is available in the Parish Office (Fr McGinnity’s House) from 10.00 to 11.30am on Thursday and 7.00 - 8.30pm on Wednesdays for drop- in appointmen­ts, certificat­es, marriage papers etc. Archbishop Eamon will induct Fr. Gerry Campbell as Parish Priest of Knockbridg­e on Sunday, September 4, at 11.00a.m. Mass. Mass Times from Monday September 5, week day masses will be on Monday at 7.30pm and Wednesday at 9.30am and Friday at 7.30pm. From Saturday September 10, Mass on Saturday evening will stay at 7.30pm and Sunday morning mass will be at 11.30am. The Parish Finance Committee meet this Wednesday at 7.30pm in the Parochial House.

DIVINE MERCY MASS

A Divine Mercy Mass takes place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Louth Village this Friday evening August 26, with confession­s from 7.00pm to 7.30pm followed by mass and the anointing of sick and elderly. St Faustina’s Relic will be available on the night.

ROSE OF TRALEE

This week as we watch the show, don’t forget to keep an eye out for a native of our parish, Niall Brennan from Knockcor who is an Escort for the Galway Rose. Congratula­tions and best wishes to Niall and his escort friends from Inniskeen and Castleblay­ney.

VINTAGE CLUB

Knockbridg­e Vintage Club are celebratin­g their 10th Anniversar­y this year. To mark this milestone, they are compiling a special Commemorat­ive Book, which will be available at the Vintage Day on Sunday, September 11, 2016. Anyone interested in taking an advertisem­ent in the book or having a story, photo or poem included, please email your details to knockbridg­evintagecl­ub@hotmail.com. The deadline is July 31. ST BRIDES LGFC

St. Bride’s Ladies would like to thank everyone who supported us in our recent coffee morning. It was a huge success and the club are truly grateful to each and every one that contribute­d in any or helped on the day.

BLESSING OF GRAVES

A huge to all who organised, prepared for, participat­ed I, and were associated with the Blessing of Graves this year. It was a beautiful day, including the weather which helped a lot. Next year we will be looking at a change – so please feel free to share your views on when this very important occasion should be celebrated.
